Africa Tourism Partners welcomes The Southern Africa Association for the Conference Industry (SAACI) as its strategic partner for the Africa Business Tourism MICE Masterclass again this year. SACCI has continued to assist ATP in delivering this training curriculum for Continuing Professional Development since its inception seven years ago.

The masterclass’s major goal is to provide a forum for skill development, peer learning, one-on-one business development, and networking for businesses, industries, governments, and academics, as well as to engage in relevant conversations.

The 7th Africa Tourism Leadership Forum and Awards will take place in Gaborone, Botswana, from September 3rd to 6th, 2024.

Hosted in partnership with the UN Tourism, BDO, ICCA and other key partners, the 7th Annual ATLF will provide a crucial space for participants to focus on opportunities for driving Africa’s future growth through intra-African travel, tourism and hospitality innovation, education, and investments.

ATLF is an intra-Africa travel and tourism platform that provides a professional setting for suppliers (accommodation, travel trade, and service providers) to conduct business with their travel trade partners (DMCs, tour operators, travel agents, and online travel agents (OTAs)). Exhibitions, business exchanges, destination showcases, and networking sessions will all take place concurrently as essential Forum components.

Registration is open for physical attendance, one-on-one B2B sessions, desktop exhibitions, and destination showcases.

Nominations for the 7th Africa Tourism Leadership Awards are still open and will close on the 26th of July.

The Africa Tourism Leadership Awards, a vital feature of the Forum, has recognised the exceptional contributions of 60 businesses, policy-makers, destinations and individuals in Africa’s travel, tourism, hospitality and aviation sectors. The winners of the awards highlight the multidimensional nature of the tourism sector. These awardees are celebrated as leading the way in building more innovative and sustainable African tourism.

These are the only pan-African industry awards that recognize and celebrate change-makers and innovations pioneered by Africans, in Africa, for African travel, tourism, hospitality, and aviation industries. The awards ceremony will run as part of the 5th Africa Tourism Leadership Forum to be held in Gaborone, Botswana from 3 to 6 September 2024.
