SAF – A Strong Start To 2026

(Posted 17th February 2026)

The CADO SAF Registry has had a strong start to the year, and we’re excited to share our first newsletter of 2026 to highlight some key updates and progress points.

As of today, we’re proud to report that the Registry hosts over 120 active organisations that transact with significant amounts of SAF flowing through the system. This growth reflects the growing confidence in the Registry and the value it provides to users in their sustainability efforts.

We’re also pleased to announce that we have rolled out a new set of improvements and exciting new features. The enhancements are primarily aimed at better supporting the emerging SAF regulatory market, however there are also extensive benefits for the voluntary market.

What’s New?

  • Auditor Role: Fuel Producers, Fuel Suppliers, Aircraft Operators, Intermediaries, Freight Forwarders, and End Customers can now invite their external auditors directly to the platform. The new Auditor user role enables invited auditors to view the inviting party’s inventory and logbook in view-only mode and perform audits. All auditors will have viewing rights to the relevant documentation, while Aircraft Operators’ Auditors are able to add and share audit documentation with all stakeholders for a given SAF batch, simply and fully within the Registry environment.
  • Claiming Module: Aircraft Operators, End Customers, and Freight Forwarders can now allocate redeemed emissions reductions to specific claiming years, providing greater flexibility and alignment with corporate reporting and/or compliance cycles.
  • CEF Template Automation: Once the redeemed SAF Fuel Units (SFUs) have been allocated to a specific year in the Claiming Module, Aircraft Operators can automatically populate the CORSIA Eligible Fuels (CEF) claim form template for redeemed emissions reductions within the system, simplifying compliance and saving time.
  • State Role: We’ve also introduced a new account type for State authorities. When granted permission by Aircraft Operator users, State representatives can view SAF volumes and redemptions occurring within their jurisdiction. This functionality is designed to support governments in obtaining SAF market information in their jurisdiction, verifying claims, and facilitating regulatory reporting. We’re currently in discussions with several state authorities to run pilot programs, and we look forward to sharing more information on this in our future newsletters.

Upcoming Engagements

To walk through these updates and demonstrate the new capabilities in detail, we’re hosting the following two live webinars:

  • 25 February 09:30-10:30 GMT+2 | Register
  • 25 February 16:00-17:00 GMT+2 | Register

We invite everyone to join one of the sessions to see the new features live and address questions directly to the Registry team.

Thank you for being part of the SAF Registry journey. Your participation and insights continue to shape the platform as we work together to make sustainable aviation fuel adoption more accessible.

Warm regards,

The SAF Registry Team
