| A NEW BIRD IN THE SKY
The airline continues to expand and we’re delighted to announce the purchase of two new birds. We now have an additional Dash- 8 (5Y SLM)-and a Caravan (5Y SLL)in the fleet.

| A three-day festival that celebrates the different communities that live around this striking lake; the Lake Turkana Festival is a carnival of culture. The rich history and traditions of the many tribes of the desert are demonstrated through dance, music, food, arts, exhibitions, and competitions. Lake Turkana, known as the Jade Sea, is a slash of green through the arid north of Kenya and makes a striking setting for this colorful and vibrant event. |

Lodwar is the largest town in north-western Kenya and is the capital of Turkana County. It is located west of Lake Turkana and its main economic activities are basket weaving and tourism. The Loima Hills lies to its west.
Lodwar started life as a tiny trading post in the 1930s. With over 3,600 hours of sunshine per year, one of the hottest annual temperatures in the world, and pitifully little rainfall. The introduction of devolution has brought resources to the region, along with tarmacked roads and more substantial buildings. The discoveries of oil and gas have seen multinationals, and expats investing in the region.

| DESTINATION LODWAR
Lodwar is the largest town in north-western Kenya, located west of Lake Turkana on the A1 road. Its main industries are basket weaving and tourism. The Loima Hills lies to its west. Lodwar is the capital of Turkana County.
Lodwar started life as a tiny trading post in the 1930s, With over 3,600 hours of sunshine per year, one of the hottest annual temperatures in the world, and pitifully little rainfall, the town looked set to remain in the background. However, things sure have changed. Devolution brought resources to the region, along with tarmacked roads and more substantial buildings. The discoveries of oil and gas brought multinationals and expats – and hotels and bars popped up to serve them. Locals found themselves with more disposable income – and set about spending it on having a good time.
