#Safarilink set for #Kisumu flights

#KENYA’S PREMIER BEACH AND BUSH AIRLINE TO LAUNCH KISUMU FLIGHTS

(Posted 31st July 2018)

Safarilink has told ATCNews.org that the airline is planning to launch twice daily flights to and from Kisumu out of their base at Nairobi’s Wilson Airport.
A morning and late afternoon service will be operated with a Bombardier Dash 8 aircraft allowing for connectivity at Wilson Airport to such key domestic and regional destinations like Lamu, Ukunda and Vipingo, the Masai Mara and notably also to Zanzibar.
Towards that end has Safarilink also confirmed their intention to further grow their fleet with at least – for now – one additional Dash 8 aircraft.
The flights, no final date has been confirmed as yet, could take to the sky within weeks as the latest, giving travelers to and from Kisumu additional choices and Safaribonus Loyalty Card holders the chance to earn extra points.
Boarding the flights is done from Safarilink’s own departure lounge which gives passengers the added comfort and shorter ways to their aircraft.

However, after landing at Wilson must passengers of all airlines arriving there and already screened prior to departure at other airports, go through another and absolutely nonsensical arrival check of bags and bodies in yet another display of institutional arrogance, ignorance and incompetence by the security organs responsible for this additional loop they make passengers jump through.

Happy Landings in Kisumu to Safarilink crews and passengers, as and when the new service commences.
