Safarilink signs code share agreement with Kenya’s national airline

CODESHARE TO OPEN UP SAFARI ROUTES FOR KENYA AIRWAYS PASSENGERS

(Posted 06th November 2019)

Safarilink’s CEO Alex Avedi earlier this week signed a code share agreement with Kenya Airways, which will see passengers of the national airline to have access to Safarilink’s entire range of 18 upcountry, coast and safari destinations across Kenya and Zanzibar.
Commenting on the codeshare agreement Alex said, “We are very pleased to be entering into this significant partnership with KQ which will provide seamless connection of passengers from the KQ network straight into Kenya and Tanzania’s world-famous parks. We are delighted that KQ chose us on account of our commitment to safety and quality.”
The codeshare deal means that effective 03rd of November, KQ’s international passengers will be able to combine their travel experience between their respective international destinations and the 18 destinations that Safarilink operates within Kenya and Tanzania out of Wilson Airport.
The partnership will see KQ place its codeshare flight numbers on the Safarilink flights so that when customers from international destinations book online, they are able to book immediately with connectivity to all Safarilink destinations.
Safarilink is the only airline certified in East Africa by IATA under their ISSA standards, as ATCNews reported some time ago.

Safarilink is also the only airline of its kind in Kenya which is a member of AFRAA, the African Airline Association.

This agreement will also nip foul mouthing individuals on the social media scene and in part of the mainstream media in the bud, who hyped up a tyre burst last week into a major incident, which it of course was not but then, what do these fellows know about aviation?
