Samoan Circus set for Seychelles comeback

A BIGGER VERSION OF THE ‘CIRCUS OF SAMOA’ IS CONSIDERING COMING BACK TO SEYCHELLES IN FEBRUARY

Bruno Loyale, the President and CEO of Loyale Investments Ltd, the promoters of the Circus of SAMOA was in Seychelles last week accompanied by his son Urima Matavao to hold meetings with Minister Alain St.Ange, the island’s Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture to discuss the possibility of bringing back to Seychelles the circus that was so appreciated by the People of Seychelles.

"We are looking at bringing back a bigger circus and needed to discuss this proposal with Minister St.Ange" said Mr Bruno Loyale

Also present at the meeting was Nathalie Didon, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer at the Seychelles Tourism Board.

Seychelles moved to be seen as a tourism destination where culture is positioned as the base of its marketing. "When we speak of culture we are in fact placing our people at the very centre of our tourism industry, because we have no culture if we do not have our people. Today this new drive by Seychelles has and continues to bring visibility for our islands and ensures we remain relevant as a tourism destination" said Minister Alain St.Ange.

The visit by the "Circus of SAMOA" was the first time a circus had come to Seychelles and the number of people who queued to see the performance was a clear indication that Seychelles had welcomed that initiative by the Government of Seychelles.

"We are looking at how to facilitate a second tour by the Circus of SAMOA that can include Seychelles and we can say that the meeting with Mr Bruno Loyale and his son was fruitful" said Minister Alain St.Ange
