THORN TREE AND FLAME TREE NOW OPEN AGAIN

Arguably Nairobi’s most iconic restaurant, the Thorn Tree at the Sarova Stanley, is now open again as is the sister operation at the Panafric Hotel, the Flame Tree.
The Thorn Tree in the old days was a place where, if one sat down long enough, the entire Nairobi would parade by – to see and to be seen – and the famous notice board which was put up around the original thorn tree in the middle of the outdoor terrace had messages from travelers around the world for travelers around the world, who would come by and check for information left by friends and fellow travel mates.
During the initial stages of the #COVID19 pandemic were both of the restaurants closed but have now reopened, in accordance with Ministry of Health guidelines on physical distancing of patrons and enhanced hygienic standards.
