The African Airlines Association (AFRAA) and four leading MRO service providers—Ethiopian MRO, Egyptian Maintenance & Engineering, Kenya Airways MRO, and South African Airways Technical are pleased to announce the launch of the African MRO Conference.
The premier annual conference and exhibition is dedicated to advancing Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services across the African aviation sector. Hosted by Ethiopian Airlines from 29–31 March 2026 at the Skylight Hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the event aims to establish an MRO marketplace, a dedicated platform for MRO leaders, engineering and maintenance managers, and industry experts to address strategic challenges, explore emerging technologies, and foster partnerships that enhance Africa’s MRO capabilities.
Held under the theme: “Building Africa’s Sustainable MRO Ecosystem”, the conference will bring together African air operators, OEMs, vendors, and service providers to tackle critical issues such as supply chain disruptions, workforce development, and rising operational costs. Through high-level presentations, B2B meetings, and facility tours hosted by Ethiopian MRO, participants will gain insights into innovative tools and best practices that enhance safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. This event also emphasises the importance of collaboration among African MROs to increase their regional market share and reduce their dependence on off-continent maintenance services.
