Dear ATCNews Readers,
Wishing You a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
from all of us at Gamewatchers Safaris & Porini Safari Camps
The Christmas holiday is traditionally a time to relax, gather with friends and family – and to discuss next year’s travel plans! So, if you have not already booked, now is the time to start planning that safari tour that you have been promising yourself. If you would like some suggestions then we have our "Top Picks" listing some safari itineraries for 2020 which offer memorable wildlife viewing at great value prices.

Get in touch using our online contact form (or simply hit reply to this email) and let us know your planned travel date and safari preferences so we can send you our recommendations for your trip.

It is also the time of year when we should spare a thought for those less fortunate than ourselves and perhaps consider making a donation to a worthy cause.

Our Community Outreach Projects – can you help?

We support a number of initiatives aiming to improve the lives of local communities living alongside our wildlife conservancies.

Our projects help provide clean water and sanitation; improve school facilities and cover school fees for the poorest families; strengthen bomas to protect livestock and train wildlife rangers and safari guides. In 2020 we will be launching a new campaign so that our customers Can "Adopt-an Acre" to help to secure habitat for wildlife. Financial donations are always required to assist these much-needed ventures. If you would like to have more information or make suggestions then you are welcome to email me and I will be happy to discuss these projects which aim to use low-impact small scale tourism as a way to generate benefits for local communities while conserving nature.

We hope you and your family have a wonderful festive season and a happy and healthy 2020 – and we look forward to welcoming you to East Africa very soon.

Best wishes,

P.S. The huge variety of different wildlife species that can be seen in East Africa is quite amazing, and you can follow this link to access our new Guide to Mammals which lists all those that I have seen personally on wildlife viewing drives from our own Porini Camps. I hope that you will find it interesting!
