| IN THE SPIRIT OF GIVING BACK
Christmas to us means helping you create those infinite memories with friends and family, and more importantly sharing the love with the less fortunate children in our communities. This has been our tradition every Christmas and through the Light up a Life Christmas Initiative, we partner with children’s centers and schools to gift and spend our time with the little ones through fun Christmas activities. For the last 5 years, your continued support to grant the children’s wishes on the Christmas scrolls has put a smile on over 1500 children. This year, we did something a little different and this is a highlight of the initiative across our properties:
- Kampala Serena Hotel, shared gifts and catered a Christmas lunch for children living with Albinism.
- Mara Serena Safari Lodge hosted less fortunate children from the community Rescue and Early Childhood Centre for a Christmas lunch and are also collecting pledges to build them a new formal rescue center.
- Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge catered a special Christmas lunch for children at Sikizana Rescue Centre.
