Annual ‘Seychelles Tourism Ball’ will again mark Tourism Day 2015 as the public / private sector partnership premier social event
Seychelles Tourism in collaboration with its partners will again this year be celebrating Tourism Week which will commence as from Monday 21st and continue until Sunday 27th September 2015.
With the aim of raising awareness amongst the key people and the general
public of this sector against the backdrop of this year’s theme: One Billion
Tourist, One Billion of Opportunities, the Seychelles Tourism Board will also be organizing the traditional
Grand Seychelles Tourism Ball on Saturday 26th September 2015, at the Savoy Seychelles
Resort & Spa, as from 6.30pm. Ticket will cost at SCR1,350 inclusive buffet, Gala dinner, welcome drinks, complimentary wine and champagne and
Entertainment.This event is being organized with the aim of bringing all trade partners together,
also providing the ideal occasion to network, forming of new business contacts
and the strengthening of working relationships with their public sector partners in a social and relaxed atmosphere. ‘This evening is another event in the drive by the Tourism Board to consolidate the public / private sector partnership that exists today in Seychelles‘ said Sherin Naiken, the CEO of the Tourism Board.This year the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, the Tourism Board in collaboration with the Tourism Academy will be honouring a first phase in the project of honouring the past pioneers of the island’s tourism industry. The unveiling of the plaque honouring past pioneers of the industry was done yesterday morning at a ceremony at the Seychelles Tourism Academy at 9am where tourism industry professionals and friends of the industry and family members were invited to be present and to be counted as supporters of the industry that has become the pillar of the Seychelles economy.
During the Seychelles Tourism Ball the CEO of the Tourism Board will be mentioning the names of those who have been recognised for their work in the tourism industry.
