Seychelles Electoral Commission clears Alain St. Ange’s ‘One Seychelles’ party

ST. ANGE’S ‘ONE SEYCHELLES‘ PARTY GETS CLEARANCE TO ENTER PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION RACE

Seychelles Electoral Commission chief Danny Lucas has handed Alain St. Ange and his ‘One Seychelles‘ party the clearance certificate, confirming that the new political force has complied with all requirements for registration.
Alain St.Ange, the former Seychelles Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine who heads the new political party alongside the popular Peter Sinon, himself also a former Minister of the islands for Fisheries, received the green light from the Head of the Seychelles Electoral Commission Danny Lucas saying their newly registered party had complied will the island’s electoral regulations. They received their official certificate of registration on Friday 16 August.

This paves the way for One Seychelles party to contend the coming Presidential elections and the next National Assembly elections (Legislative Assembly).

St.Ange is a former member of the island’s legislature having served two terms as the elected representative for the electoral districts of La Digue and then of Bel Air.

District representatives of One Seychelles have been working doing door to door work in all districts on the main islands of Mahe, Praslin and La Digue.

Affiliated to the party is The Islander Weekly and The Islander Online publication with Herve Anthony as editor, who is also an executive committee member of One Seychelles.
