Dr. Patrick Herminie was yesterday late afternoon sworn in as Seychelles’ 6th President, ending the ultimately highly controversial rule of Wavel Ramkavalan – a man elected on the promise of change which turned out to be turning into a regime of failed promises, nepotism, division, deception and misuse of state organs aimed to preserve his hold on power.
Dr. Herminie’s swearing in sees the return to power of the Seychelles United party – formerly known as Parti Lepep – and he will also be measured on his promises of inclusion and bi-partisan consultation in his aim to bring better living standards and higher economic growth to the country.
ATCNews extends congratulations and best wishes to Dr. Herminie and to the Seychelles United party.
