MORE AWARDS FOR SEYCHELLES

About 130 guests joined Travel & Leisure Publisher Mr. Joseph Messer and Travel &Leisure Editor Mr. Nathan Lump at 620 Loft & Garden at the Rockefeller Center in New York City on Wednesday night to celebrate the 2016 Annual World’s Best Awards.
The ceremony honored Travel & Leisure readers picks of the Best Hotels, Destinations, Airlines, Cruise Lines, Outfitters and transportation brands in Travel.
Mr. David Germain, the STB Director for Africa and the Americas was present to receive the Award for Seychelles – named by Travel & Leisure Readers as the
– No1 Island in Africa & the Middle East – Worlds Best Award 2016.
Mr Germain, when accepting the award on behalf of the Seychelles, then said: ‘The Seychelles Tourism Board and Seychelles as a whole is extremely proud of this achievement, Seychelles is a unique group of islands with outstanding natural beauty and unique attractions, a destination with a committed approach to sustainable tourism, providing an example of best practice for other destinations around the world. The Award helps to garner recognition, and provide a significant amount of visibility for our islands to a worldwide audience, It proves further, that our beautiful islands is becoming more and more popular, topping the list of the most desirable holiday destinations worldwide‘.
Travel to the Seychelles from the United States is made easy with one stop connections by Emirates via Dubai, Etihad via Abu Dhabi and from later this year by Qatar Airways, which is commencing daily flights from their Doha hub to Mahe.
