(Posted 13th October 2014)
Ethiopian Airlines which recently returned to the Seychelles islands with three flights a week, joined hands with the Seychelles Tourism Board to promote their new destination in three cities across Germany.
While Frankfurt kicked off the series will the team visit Berlin on Tuesday this week before moving on to Munich on Thursday, recognizing that Germany is one of the Seychelles’ most important tourist source markets.
Connections to the Seychelles on Ethiopian Airlines out of Frankfurt – the airline otherwise flies daily between Addis Ababa and Frankfurt – operate every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, using one of ET’s state of the art B787 Dreamliners with a short stopover in Addis Ababa before arriving on the afternoon of Friday, Sunday and Monday respectively on Mahe on a B737-800NG.
At the Frankfurt event were some 80 travel agents invited to sample Ethiopian food, music and coffee before the attention was turned to the Seychelles which was showcased by STB’s Germany representative Edith Hunzinger.
Two lucky raffle winners will in fact be able to fly to the Seychelles for a fam trip in early December, in conjunction with two additional stops in Ethiopia and Kenya.
Ethiopian now flies four times a day from Addis Ababa to Nairobi, allowing for combination holidays where tourists can see the Big Five in Kenya’s national parks before enjoying the award winning beaches of the Seychelles for sun, fun and more.
