Skyward Airlines has launched scheduled flights to Vipingo Ridge / Mombasa North Coast, offering faster access to Shanzu, Kilifi, Watamu and Malindi.
“This partnership reshapes North Coast access,” said Skyward GM Diana Nyambura. “Vipingo Ridge’s strategic location allows us to serve both the residential community and wider coastal region with smart connectivity and elevated service.”
Vipingo Ridge CEO Alex Horsey called air connectivity “a powerful growth enabler” that strengthens the Ridge’s role as a regional hub for tourism, sport and business.
The new air route is expected to significantly enhance tourism in Kilifi County by reducing travel time from Nairobi and other major hubs from several hours by road to under an hour by air.
This improved accessibility will make Kilifi’s attractions and eco-tourism destinations more appealing to both domestic and international visitors.
The convenient air link is also anticipated to boost occupancy rates at coastal resorts and hotels, support local businesses, and create employment opportunities in the hospitality and service sectors.
The route fills a key connectivity gap and reflects Skyward’s commitment to purposeful expansion and customer-led growth.
