‘Smurf’ visits the Pearl of Africa

SMURF‘ ON SAFARI IN UGANDA

(Posted 06th September 2019)

One of Belgium’s cartoon icons, Smurf, is presently on visit to Uganda, making its way across national parks and key attractions, and of course always holding up a sign ‘I Like BelgiuM’, no doubt soon to be joined by one ‘I Like UgandA’ .
Arrived recently on Brussels Airlines has Smurf also joined the campaign of the Royal Belgian Embassy in Kampala to give additional visibility to Belgium and their close cooperation with Ugandan institutions. Belgium has been supporting Uganda and in particular the tourism sector through a range of measures in the past as has Brussels Airlines, which flies daily between the European capital and Entebbe.

This little Smurf, being a coffee aficionado and not settling for anything but the best, took part in a coffee tour upcountry, before turning his attention back to his safari. In between though he paid some attention to Uganda’s colourful Kitenge fabrics, no doubt soon wearing a shirt made from it.

The Smurf family is also a partner of the UN to propagate the organization’s SDG’s, short for Sustainable Development Goals and one of them, after probably reading much about the country on www.ATCNews.org, decided to pay a visit to the Pearl of Africa to see for himself what a top notch adventure destination Uganda is today.
Welcome to Uganda my dear Smurf and do bring the entire family!
