Snares remain a threat to wildlife in Hwange National Park

ZIMBABWE’S wildlife conservation efforts, celebrated across the world, have been hit by a new challenge with the emergence of an increasing use of snares against different animal species. According to the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), wire snares remain one of the cruellest threats to Africa’s wildlife from “tiny birds to the mighty elephant”.
