State Releases Ksh950 Million to Compensate Victims of Human-Wildlife Conflict

The National Government has announced the release of Ksh950 million to compensate victims of human- wildlife conflict across the country. The compensation is set to benefit families and individuals who have suffered loss of life, injuries, crop destruction, and property damage caused by wildlife. The announcement was made during the celebration of World Wildlife Day in Igembe North Constituency, Meru County, which was organised by the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS).
