S!TE ASSURANCE OF EXHIBITION TAKEN WITH A GRAIN OF SALT

While the following information was put out into the public domain earlier today were
a number of tourism sources in Tanzania swift to take the announcement with a grain
of salt, given the late cancellation of the show last year, combined with the evasive
responses at the time if the show would indeed take place.
In fact was it only at the eve of the show that the website information was taken down,
earning the organizers and promoters more than a fair share of acid comments.
For some therefore it is a wait and see situation with decisions being made, if at all,
late in the day if to attend or not to.
Presently is Tanzania’s tourism industry looking forward to the Karibu Tourism Fair in
Arusha, followed just a week later by the KiliFair in Moshi.
Given the tight financial situation the Tanzanian tourist industry is in, it will be a game
of cat and mouse which of the fairs the industry can afford to attend.
Watch this space until October to find out if the show will take place this year and if
lessons from the previous two trade shows have been learned.
