(Posted 13th January 2018)
Information has come to light that Sudan’s Tarco Air seems set for the launch of flights out of Khartoum to Entebbe, via Juba, in the very near future.
The flights, the airline plans to operate three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, would restore a direct airlink between Uganda and Sudan making travel between the two countries possible without having to switch aircraft at a waypoint airports as is the case right now.
It could not be established if Tarco will enjoy fifth freedom rights between Entebbe and Juba and vice versa and this will be answered if and when the airline responds to the query.
Besides Entebbe does the airline according to details sourced from their website also fly to Asmara, Amman, Cairo, Jeddah, Riyadh and Kuwait, among other destinations besides serving, out of Khartoum, at least three cities in Sudan with domestic flights.
Established in 2009 does the airline operate five aircraft of Boeing B737-300 (4) and Boeing B737-500 (1) make though other information suggests they may also operate or have operated at least one Embraer ERJ145 jet and two Boeing B737-400’s.
The airline’s #IATA code was given as 3T.
