SUPERSONIC TRAVEL GETS BOOST FROM TRIALS OVER THE UGANDAN SKIES
(Posted 01st April 2017)
In remoter parts of Uganda were supersonic booms heard overnight and it was learned from usually unreliable sources that a next generation supersonic aircraft had arrived late yesterday evening and then, after refuelling at Entebbe International Airport, commenced test flight operations over remote parts of the country.
While not audible over the main population centres from which the flight paths stayed well clear of, have nevertheless reports come in from goats, sheep and cattle that they had their sleep disrupted, some of them complaining to this correspondent by phone that mooo mooo baaa baaa bleat bleat. This correspondent is still trying to find a suitable translator for the messages while the aircraft, at the crack of dawn, hastily left Ugandan airspace to avoid detection by local media which slept through the events.
Let this prank be the only one you fall for on this April Fools Day 2017.
