Tanzania is collaring elephants at Mkomazi National Park to avert Human-Wildlife clashes

Tanzania is embarking on the exercise of collaring elephants in the Mkomazi National Park in efforts to contain cases of human-wildlife conflict in the precinct. The Jumbo collaring project is being undertaken by the Arusha-based Tanzania Wildlife Research Institute (TAWIRI) in conjunction with the Tanzania Wildlife Management Authority (TAWA) and the Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA).
