TCHADIA CARRIES OVER 27.500 PASSENGERS IN FIRST YEAR OF OPERATION
(Posted 24th October 2019)
Launched in October last year has Tchadia Airlines, a partner of Ethiopian Airlines which holds 49 percent of the company shares, uplifted over 27.500 passengers in its first full year of operations.
From N’Djamena does Tchadia fly to two regional destinations – Douala and Bangui – while also serving four domestic destinations – Faya, Sarh, Abeche and Moundou.
Additional domestic routes to the Chadian towns of Ati, Am-Timan and Amdjarass are in the final stages of planning as are more regional routes. Those will eventually see the airline launch flights to Khartoum, Niamey, Cotonou and Cairo.
Tchadia currently operates two De Havilland Dash8-400 – formerly known as the Bombardier Q400NG but has plans to acquire another Dash8-400 and at least one Boeing B737-800NG, all aircraft sourced from Ethiopian Airlines.
