Welcome to Rusinga Festival 2025!
Greetings from the scenic Rusinga Island. We are thrilled to present the 14th edition happening on 18th and 19th December, staying true to our tradition of hosting the festival every last Thursday and Friday before Christmas.
Rusinga Festival is a vibrant celebration of the Abasuba culture showcasing music, fashion, film, traditional cuisine, artistry, literature, traditional sports and games, tours, cultural heritage conversations, and cultural exchanges with both local and international communities.
For 13 years, the Rusinga Festival has celebrated cultural pride, fostered knowledge & cultural exchange, and advanced socio-economic empowerment especially for women and youth. Beyond heritage, it has grown into a hub for tourism, the creative economy, and climate change dialogue. Today, it stands as a signature event in Kenya’s cultural calendar, drawing thousands of participants annually from Kenya and beyond.
