 Rains Arrive in Samburu Bringing Water to Wildlife
After months of scorching sun and dry heat, the rains have finally reached us in Samburu. It is amazing how quickly the landscape changes and becomes green again. The river levels are higher and wildlife is taking advantage of new water holes. We’ve posted photos showing this special time of year. We hope the rains continue!

 Samson Joins the IFAW Youth Forum in South Africa
In September, our Artist in Residence, Samson Lerosion, joined 33 other young conservation leaders for the IFAW Youth Forum in South Africa. Samson was chosen from hundreds of applicants for his unique combination of artistic talent and passion for wildlife conservation. He presented a poster on his work, plus helped urge delegates in Johannesburg to include youth more in wildlife issues at CITES.

 Marching For Lions, Elephants and Rhinos
Toby and Yesalai took to the streets of Nairobi in October with more than a thousand other passionate citizens. They participated in the third annual Global March For Elephants, Rhinos and Lions in Nairobi. The message was loud and clear: the world needs to know that the illegal wildilfe trade is decimating Africa’s wildlife and we are fighting back.
