SAUTI ZA BUSARA LINEUP FOR 2015 NOW COMPLETE
(Posted 12th November 2014)
The 2015 edition of Sauti za Busara, taking place in Zanzibar’s Stone Town from the 12th to the 15th of February, just three month to the day from now, has over the past years become Africa’s foremost music, culture and art festival and is drawing in crowds and raising interest in Africa’s music scene like no other similar festival across the continent. For next year’s event have 37 groups been confirmed, with 19 from within Tanzania and others coming from as far as Algeria, Cape Verde, Angola, South Africa, Mozambique, from the Indian Ocean islands of Reunion, Madagascar and the Comoros and of course from neighbouring Kenya.
Bookings for a season pass, which allows access to the various venues for the duration of the festival, are until the end of November available with a 20 percent rebate and citizens and residents from the East African Community member states are eligible for further discounts, though terms and conditions will apply for those. Accreditation for media houses and journalists is available and it is recommended to write to busara for details.
It is highly advisable to also make early arrangements for accommodation on the island (Unguja, Zanzibar’s main island) and to book for flight or ferry tickets. Airlines flying from Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar are Precision Air, Auric Air, Coastal Aviation among others while Kenya Airways operates daily flights from Nairobi with connections from the entire region and from across the continent.
