At African Parks, we work with communities to support solutions for human-nature coexistence. Through community development programmes, educational outreach, and sustainable livelihood projects, more than 2.5 million local people have benefitted from ecosystem services and socio-economic initiatives.
With your support, we can scale impact to manage 30 protected areas by 2030 for the benefit of people and nature.
In the past year we have supported 227 schools through various initiatives, brought 24,065 people to the parks for environmental education, of which 21,572 were children and have provided 1,129 scholarships. As a result of the work we do within the parks under our management, we have also been able to provide employment opportunities and paid out more than $130 million in salaries in the last 5 years.
However, there’s more to be done. Your donation will help us reach our goal to manage 30 parks by 2030 and as a result we will be able to expand educational programmes and create more employment opportunities in conservation and eco-tourism. By supporting African Parks, you’re not just helping wildlife and the environment; you’re supporting communities and changing lives.
Make an impact today and be part of this meaningful transformation.
We believe that through strong partnerships and positive collaboration, together with government, communities and funders, we can contribute to the global mission of protecting 30% of the planet’s natural areas by 2030.
