THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX
(Posted 04th December 2015)
The Inter-communal Tourist Office (ITO) in the North of Reunion Island recently launched its new mobile tourist information office. The first of its kind on the Reunion Island and it will be visibly deployed at all major commercial, social and tourism events to help promote the tourism northern territory.
Until now can local people and travelers staying on the island experience the tourist products offered on northern territory of Reunion only at the ITO offices but the launch of the vehicle hs changed the game now. ITO North’s innovation with the creation of a mobile tourist office now provides easy access for tourists getting information about the island.
The roaming information office staff have a keen interest to go out into the field to meet the tourists and the local population to promote the tourist offer of the north of La Réunion.
Entertainment on weekends, night life in Bel-Air Lighthouse and Carrère House on the occasion of the Night of Museums and European Heritage Days, be sure that the mobile office will be on display and in attendance at all the major events in Reunion.
New tourism products will also be showcased by the mobile Tourist Office on four wheels.
Notably did the North OTI office last year receive nearly 45,000 visitors through its different outlets but with the inauguration of the mobile office is the number of visitors expected to reach twice as many with an anticipated 90,000 reach.
Earlier this week did another regional tourism information office launch a scooter to reach out to the tourists and locals, clearly a sign of innovative thinking outside the usual box.
