Earlier this morning, just before 8 a.m., was a tourist vehicle on the road from Bwindi National Park to the town of Butagota involved in a serious accident.
It is not known if any other vehicle was involved in the accident and police investigations are underway to establish the cause of the accident.
The Ugandan driver guide and three foreign tourists reportedly suffered serious injuries and were admitted to a nearby hospital.
According to yet to be fully confirmed reports did one of the tourists pass away.
Accidents involving tourist vehicles are very rare in Uganda as the driver guides undergo special training and are generally known to be careful drivers.
