Training flight out of Wilson Airport ends in crash

A Cessna 152, after taking off from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, crashed soon afterwards inside the Nairobi National Park.

The aircraft is registered as 5Y-PSJ, MSN 15283169, owned and operated by the West Rift Aviation School and sustained substantial damage as it overturned during the crash landing.

One of the two occupants was reportedly seriously injured and taken to hospital.

An air accident investigation has been launched but the aviation school is yet to comment or issue an official statement on the crash.
