The main runway at Cape Town International Airport (CPT) in Cape Town is currently closed due to an aircraft (TAAG Angola Airlines) that developed technical issues on the runway. The incident happend just after 14:00 on 12 October 2023. The aircraft was subsequently removed from the main runway, and this was followed by a runway inspection by the airport’s Fire and Rescue teams which uncovered a hydraulic fuel spill on the tarmac.
