South African National Parks (SANParks) has announced that the Pienaars Pass 4×4 eco-trail in the Karoo National Park has been re-opened after the completion of necessary maintenance. The 6km eco-trail, which was closed since the heavy rains in late 2020, takes visitors to the middle plateau of the National Park. A full 4×4 vehicle with low range is needed to complete the trail.
