South African National Parks (SANParks) has reminded travellers that its National Parks in South Africa remain closed for overnight accommodation as per alert level three lockdown regulations on leisure and interprovincial travel. All overnight bookings for July 2020 have therefore been suspended; the public will be advised in due course when bookings open. SANParks advises those with overnight bookings to delay their travel and not cancel. The organization will announce the dates for the reopening of accommodation bookings in due course.
Day self-drives in South Africa’s National Parks continue to be permissible for residents of the various provinces that the respective National Parks are located in.
