The flag carrier airline of Portugal, TAP Portugal, is planning to launch a new service to Cape Town. Set to commence on 11 November 2020, the airline will operate a three weekly direct service between Humberto Delgado Airport/Lisbon Airport (LIS) in Lisbon, Portugal, and Cape Town International Airport (CPT) in Cape Town, South Africa. The airline will use its new Airbus A330-900neo on the route with the following schedule:
- Lisbon 10:30 > 23:40 Cape Town on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays
- Cape Town 02:05 > 11:30 Lisbon on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays
