Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema announced during the state funeral of Namibia’s former President Dr. Hage Geingob on 24 February 2024 in Windhoek that Kasama Road, a major road in Lusaka, has been renamed after the late Dr Hage Geingob. This is with immediate effect. Dr. Hage Geingob (3 August 1941 – 4 February 2024) was a Namibian politician who served as the third president of Namibia from 2015 until his death on 04 February 2024.
