HAPPY RETIREMENT WISHES TO FRED KIURU

Visits to Kenya in general and Mombasa in particular always yield interesting information, justifying my regular presence in this country.
In news from Mombasa’s hospitality scene can ATCNews now wish long time friend Fred Kiuru a happy retirement from his position as General Manager of the Travelers Beach Hotel & Club and extend a warm welcome to Hilary Siele on his new appointment.
Hilary is no stranger to Ugandans, having served for the past nearly two years as General Manager of the Marasa owned Chobe Safari Lodge in the upper part of Murchison Falls National Park.
He previously also served as General Manager of the Nyali Beach Resort and Spa in Mombasa and the Nanchang Hotel in Nairobi and held a similar position in West Africa during a spell as ‘expatriate’.
The Travelers is a popular resort along the Bamburi stretch of the beaches north of Mombasa and Hilary will no doubt use his connections in Uganda to put attractive packages on the market there, now that Uganda Airlines has commenced nonstop flights between Entebbe and Mombasa.
ATCNews wishes Hilary all the best in his new appointment.
