CHUI GETS TRIP ADVISOR CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE FOR 2014
(Posted 22nd May 2014)
The Leopard Beach Resorts & Spa, among its many friends fondly known as the Chui, the Kiswahili word for Leopard, has just received their 2014 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, a seal of approval for persistently good reviews filed by clients on the global market leader hospitality review site.
This correspondent was recently at the Leopard Beach Resort & Spa to check out their new villas, which are now open for guests under the brand ‘The Residences’. The new developments offers a new level of comfort and privacy compared to the main part of the hotel which itself keeps raking in awards for their unique setting and the quality of accommodation and service. Located on 18 acres of ground within the resort itself, are the two and three bedroom villas, all superbly well-equipped and featuring their own pools, the present non plus ultra in that category of upmarket accommodation in Kenya and are most suitable for family holidays or couples travelling together and preferring their privacy. The Lemongrass fusion restaurant, which offers delightful dishes prepared by chefs trained in Bangkok’s Rembrandt Hotel, is ever ready to deliver meals to the villas for guests to dine ‘at home’ should they prefer, though meeting other guests at the Grasshopper watering hold always gives new friendships a chance.

The Residences are part of the main resort, which has over the past decade established itself as a favourite for Kenyans and travelers from the entire region, where they can meet and mingle with foreign tourists while enjoying excellent food and an attention to detail which earned the Leopard Beach serial awards from both local and international travel media and the World Travel Awards, including for the Uzuri Spa mentioned here in a separate article on the emergence of Spa tourism in Kenya a few weeks ago. The innovative approach to create these 28 villas for discerning guests will no doubt go a long way to attract additional clients who, while wanting the services of a major 5 star resort at their disposal, also like the privacy which goes along with staying in a secluded villa.
Easily reached from Nairobi by daily scheduled flights with Safarilink from Wilson Airport to the Ukunda airfield along the famous Diani Beach, and of course with Kenya Airways, Air Uganda and RwandAir from Nairobi, Entebbe and Kigali – also flying directly to Mombasa are Turkish Airlines and Ethiopian Airlines – is a vacation at the Chui just a few clicks on the computer away as bookings are accepted through the resort’s website www.leopardbeachresort.com
Watch out for my upcoming review of The Residences at the Leopard Beach Resort & Spa on TripAdvisor and more impressions from my recent visit to the Kenya coast, which presented itself as welcoming and hospitable as ever before.
