REUNION TOURISM STAKEHOLDERS PARTICIPATE IN TRIP ADVISOR SEMINAR
(Posted 05th June 2014)
Reunion’s tourism office IRT, in response to requests made by the island’s tourism stakeholders, has invited Trip Advisor to conduct a series of seminars in order to allow for a better understanding of the services and opportunities this globally leading website offers to hotels, resorts and other service providers.
The sales manager of the travel website TripAdvisor Ms. Alexandra Blanchard subsequently travelled to St. Denis and is this week giving two lectures at the MOCA Convention Centre, where over a hundred participants have already registered for the seminars. The project, supported by the Department of Information and Marketing at IRT provides two sessions on the topic of digital communication in the tourism sector:
· Review: do not let users talk about your business without participating in the conversation!
· TripAdvisor: take hold of your destination!
It is thought important that hotels and others understand better the way they can respond to comments posted on TripAdvisor and make use of this leading website to promote their own businesses.
Meanwhile, while Ms. Blanchard is on Reunion Island, has the Residence La Vacoa received their TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence 2014, rewarding constantly good reviews from clients, who are of course the ultimate judges of quality and service levels. . This recognition, based on the reviews, is a tremendous vote of confidence with high added value for the winners. For Yves and Nathalie Sculier, the owners of the residence, is ‘the fact of receiving this award encourages us to continue the line we have chosen, that is to say, the continuous improvement of our organization and especially a home our residents worthy of Reunion’.
La Vacoa is located at the Hermitage-les-Bains, on the seashore and just a 3-minute walk from the beach and the lagoon. The residence offers 16 furnished rooms for guests and provides a homely atmosphere, exemplary of what Ile de la Reunion offers to her visitors.
