Tropical cyclone Diane continues to impact on air traffic around #Mauritius

FLIGHTS TO RODRIGUES REMAIN SUSPENDED UNTIL THE CURRENT CYCLONE HAS PASSED

(Posted 25th January 2020)

While flights between the main international airport on Mauritius to Rodrigues remain suspended until at least tomorrow, Sunday has Air Mauritius rescheduled other international flights due to leave today to Geneva and Hong Kong. This follows in the wake of the Mauritius meteorological department officials raising the cyclone warning to Class III for January 24th.

A number of incoming flights, destined for Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (IATA: MRU, ICAO: FIMP) today have also been rescheduled to avoid the worst of the bad weather. This will equally impact on planned departures from Mauritius due to the late arrival of aircraft from previous flights.
Air Mauritius, and other airlines flying to the island but also to Reunion, will issue additional bulletins to keep travelers informed about any further delays or possible flight cancellations.
Remember, better safe than sorry!
