The Uganda Tourism
Sustainability Leaders Awards!

UCOTA proudly promotes sustainability in the Ugandan tourism sector. Initiated in 2012, the Uganda Tourism Sustainability Leaders Awards aim to recognise and reward businesses which are exemplars of responsible and sustainable tourism in Uganda. These awards are currently one-of-a-kind in Uganda; UCOTA is the only Ugandan organisation presenting awards of this nature. There are two categories this year: the tour operator category and the lodge category.

To apply, you will need to fill out two surveys. The first is a short survey which aims to identify the communities which you support or partner with. Find it here. The second survey is a longer survey which is based on the Global Sustainable Tourism Criteria. Find it here. The application deadline is 31/01/14.

Advertising Opportunities

UCOTA is offering advertising opportunities in its bi-annual magazine, Pearls of Uganda Post. The next issue is due to be released at the end of January 2014. The magazine is distributed in print and online, and through various outlets. Half and quarter page advertising spaces are available.
Rates: Half page @ 450 000 UGX
Quarter page @ 350 000 UGX

UCOTA will also be offering advertisement space on the UCOTA and Pearls of Uganda websites in 2014.
