Uganda Airlines ready to launch Johannesburg flights

ENTEBBE – JOHANNESBURG DIRECT FLIGHTS 4 TIMES A WEEK

(Posted 29th May 2021)

Uganda Airlines will next Monday, 31st of May, launch their long expected flights between Entebbe and Johannesburg.
The route will initially be served four times a week with flights leaving Entebbe every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The return flights from Johannesburg will leave South Africa after a short layover.

The route between Uganda and South Africa had not been served after South African Airways’ partner on the route, which operated the flights, had dropped Entebbe, forcing passengers to take time consuming and often costly detours via other airports in the region.

Uganda Airlines is currently serving Nairobi, Mombasa, Juba, Bujumbura, Mogadishu, Kilimanjaro, Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar but also Kinshasa.

Next on the horizon for Uganda Airlines is Dubai, to be followed by flights to London and Guangzhou. Additional destinations in Africa are also under planning to further widen connectivity out of and into Entebbe.

Meanwhile has the airline won the award for the world’s youngest fleet of aircraft in operation which include two brand new Airbus A330-800Neo and four – formerly Bombardier – CRJ900 which were also purchased brand new.
