ENTEBBE WELCOMES TWO NEW CRJ900 AIRCRAFT

While the first of two additional CRJ900 aircraft, registered as 5X-KNP – standing for Kidepo National Park – touched down just around 15.00 hrs local time did the second new aircraft join her sistership on the ground at 15.09 hrs local time to a rousing welcome extended to them by the gathered guests and viewed by passengers arriving and departing from Entebbe International Airport at the time.
A traditional water canon welcome was extended to both aircraft, as they left the taxiway and entered the apron space outside the main terminal building.
The arrival brings to four the number of CRJ aircraft now operated by Africa’s youngest national airline.
The additional aircraft will allow Uganda Airlines to add more frequencies to in demand destinations and, on 11th of November, add Mombasa before yet more regional destinations will be launched.
Two Airbus A330-800Neo will be joining the Uganda Airlines fleet by late 2020 and early 2021 to then commence long haul intercontinental services.
