As reported by ATCNews last week did Uganda Airlines have to replace their initially leased A320 as a result of a regulatory directive by the Uganda CAA, which only permitted them to wetlease the aircraft for a maximum of 6 months. While this appears to be a rather arbitrary measure – certainly not helpful in any way to the national airline’s need for optimal operations – did the carrier comply and subsequently entered into a fresh lease albeit with a Danish company.

The airline has now also confirmed the new lease and issued the following statement:
