The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority, in short known as UCAA,  has acquired four Kayoola E-Coaches and one Kayoola EVS from Kiira Motors Corporation. UCAA is the first public entity in Uganda but also in Africa to operate a fully electric fleet manufactured locally – and not imported.
The Kayoola E-Coach recently demonstrated its reliability during the 13,000 km “Pearl to the Cape” expedition, which aim, among others, was to position Uganda as a market leader in Africa’s clean mobility transition.
The latest development highlights Uganda’s successful march towards local manufacturing capacity – especially embracing clean energy use –  and emphasizes the country’s commitment to shaping the future of sustainable mass transport.
