UGANDA SCORES 81.8 PERCENT IN ICAO USAP-CMA AUDIT
(Posted 28th September 2019)
Uganda has received a special recognition from ICAO, the International Civil Aviation Organization based in Montreal, for efforts to step up aviation security.
An ICAO Council President Certificate in Aviation Security was handed over to the Ugandan mission at ICAO earlier this week, also giving the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority the opportunity to share the result of their last ICAO audit, which saw them score 81.8 percent in the most recent ICAO USAP-CMA audit.
This must be seen against the background of the global average being 73 percent and the African and Indian Ocean member states of ICAO average only coming up to 58 percent on this score.
This score puts Uganda now in the top performance tier of African states.
