The Ugandan government has yesterday issued comprehensive guidelines for the use and procurement of #COVID19 face masks.
The documents published extend to 18 points with instructions even to the points of sale and distribution and home made masks sold must be wrapped and sealed in plastic irrespective apparently of the ban on the use of plastic wrapping in effect.
The wearing of masks outside one’s residence has been made mandatory and applies to all adults and children above the age of 6 years.
The 18 point document ends with a warning of penalties, although it is not clear at this time if this will be fines or jail time or both.
