A public notice issued by the Uganda Tourism Board – in this case as the licensing body for tour operators – was it announced that 18 tour companies’ licenses were suspended over allegations of fraud, while investigations are ongoing.
The full list is shown below:
A month ago another tour operator’s license was also suspended over similar allegations, indicating a wider crackdown on suspected rotten apples within the industry.
