MARKET ACTIVITIES GO INTO OVERDRIVE AS UGANDA AIRLINES NEARS LAUNCH DATE

(Posted 02nd August 2019)

Uganda Airlines’ Commercial Director Jennifer Bamuturaki Musiime earlier in the week, together with other staff from the airline’s sales and marketing team, conducted meetings and briefings with travel agents in Kampala. This took place ahead of the airline’s launch flights, planned for 28th and 29th of August.
The inaugural flight will leave Entebbe for Nairobi while the next day the routes to Mogadishu and Dar es Salaam will be launched.
The airline in a response to a question raised on Twitter also confirmed that the two remaining CRJ900 jets are now expected in the country in September to boost the growing route network, as additional destinations like Juba, Bujumbura and Mombasa will come on line in the first phase of the carrier’s operation.

Key aspects the meetings with travel agents captured were fares, the upcoming route network and systems, now that the airline is going ‘live‘ on the global distribution platforms.
