The flight was reportedly originating from Uganda’s Kajjansi Airfield and destined for Jowhar Airport (HCJH), carrying supplies for Ugandan troops stationed in Somalia under an African Union mandate.

The Uganda CAA together with their Somali counterparts is involved in an air accident investigation to establish the cause of the accident.
